Up at 6:00am to get kids (and Jordan) ready for early park entry…in line for rope drop for Islands of Adventure at 7:30….panic/stress/madness….had the gang ready for a mission…leg it to Hagrid so we didn’t have to waste 4hrs of waiting…GREAT SUCCESS…7:50 rope drop…only a 75min wait (which turned out to be 60mins)…well worth it.
On to amble around the park using our hotel express passes for a ‘stress free’ day…bit of butter beer…lovely and friendly cashier, who looked like he resented me for ordering a drink, but I reckon he was just jealous of my bumbag!!
On to Seuss Landing…hit all the big rides……cat in the hat (Grayson hated), caro-suessell, one fish, two fish…like a boss…kids got custom t-shirts, and Alaska hammered a peanut butter cookie…met a few characters, Alaska stole their hearts ❤️…Green eggs and Ham tots and some Who Hash for lunch…lovely!!
Off to hogsmead again…forbidden journey done, browsed a selection of wands and robes…and the kids went to Diagon Alley…on to Honeydukes…spend $11 on a bloody cake mun, and the outside wasn’t even edible (and I did bite it to try).
Velocicoaster…FRONT ROW!!!!…best ride ever!!!…may have accidentally seduced the ride attendant when she asked me to tuck my hat in my top 🤔….Grayson got on Jurassic Park river Adventure, and he…hated it 😂…well the scary parts anyways…oooo and I got some of the Special Isla Nebula IPA…tasted like a Clwb Tropicana, but double the cost 😂
Toon Lagoon - only Popeye open…me and Chris had learned our lesson and decided against drowning on the ride, so opted to look after the kids…Jordan and Deb thought a poncho would spare them…they were wrong…Paige gambled and lost 😂…dripping like a fried egg sandwich. Hulk to ‘dry off’…bloody hell that was a rough ride.
Mythos for evening meal…lovely atmosphere, very echo-y restaurant…you could really hear Alaska screaming for her popcorn bucket 😂😂
Anyways…calamity after calamity….Chris decided we hadn’t got wet enough on Popeye, so doused us all in freezing cold water by karate chopping about 3 glasses all over the table, I dropped a plate or two, kids were tired and restless…and our meal was a little delayed…lovely meal though…few cocktails for me and Paige…Chris being super hardcore had a chocolate milk!!
Lovely surprise though, we asked for the bill and found that the lovely couple sitting opposite us had paid for our entire meal…how amazing!! ❤️
Everyone but me and Paige went back to the room…the hardcore stayed until park close…wanted the Harry Potter show and a cheeky night ride in Velocicoaster…best ride ever BTW.
