Halloween Horror Nights - Florida Day 2

Updated: Nov 16, 2022

ahhh what a bloody day….on the boat ride back to the hotel rocking out to the Saw theme…Sergio Fuckossed mun….sooo here’s how it all went down.

After a busy park day yesterday, and a rather ratty message from the hotel to ensure I take full advantage of our club level lounge facilities (along with the promise that free food was the best kind of food from Deb and Chris), we partook in the lounges offerings for a leasurly brekkie before ambling along to Universal Studios…great stuff, love this park, and today was Halloween, which meant….HORROR NIGHTS!!! … I bloody love horror nights.

Nice little morning stroll along the lagoon walkway, few pics outside Voodoo Donuts, and the obligatory Universal globe pic with the family…Chris fully putting his photography b-tec to good use with a range of angles designed to make us look like we were a family about to drop a sick record album…Deb throwing out all sorts of poses, and manages to drop her sunglasses down the banking…fortunately I utilised my newly acquired superpowers of being a mildly skinny bugger and managed to squeeze my way through some railings to retrieve them…obstacle 1 done…should have been a sign of things to come.

Anyways…on to the park…Minions, Rip Ride Rockit, Jimmy Fallon and the Mummy done within an hour or so…bewsh!! Then time appeared to just fritter away for the day and following a brief period that we’re better off not discussing further…we were back on track…

Lunch at the Frying Dutchman, Grayson absolutely mullered the cod..most he’s eaten so far…Deb and Chris took Alaska back to the hotel for a few hours, which was more a rest for Deb to psych herself up for a night of Grayson and Alaska, and Chris to psych himself up for a night of being cannon fodder and lead lamb for the slaughter in our ‘Scream Squad’.

Back to the park…Simpsons ride, where Grayson coined a new catch phrase of ‘I didn’t really enjoy that’, before he brutally destroyed Paige on a fairground game to win the coveted skeleton plush..Go Grayson!!

Next on to Diagon Alley and wand selection for Grayson…after handling half a dozen Wands and deciding that they weren’t magic enough, he finally found his wand…Arthur Weasleys wand mun…but hey ho, the wand chose Gray and he loves it…performed a few magic tricks around the Alley (I hear that’s what all the wizards call it), and it was time to take Gray back to the hotel, and exchange him for Chris.

Hell of a walk back to the hotel as Grayson decided his legs no longer worked and insisted on being carried on my shoulders all the way home, at which point, Grayson declared that he could walk up to our room as he was ‘full of energy’…yeah that makes one of us kid 😂.

Picked up Chris and on to Horror Nights!!

Back in park by 4pm, cheeky Starbucks…even cheekier selfie with the Chris and the on to the holding bay for ‘Halloween’.

Let in before the rest of the rabble at 5:15, pre-organised line of Chris leading the front, Paige anywhere but the back or front, and me and Jo interchangeably being attacked from the rear…what a team!!!

Anyways…Halloween, Coven, Chupacabra, Dead Man’s Pier…uh oh…Jordan’s foot decided life was too much…time for a quick break…BTW Dead Man’s Pier was an amazing house…

Haunted Horseshoe and a little cocktail and Jordan was Hammered (she blames the surgery, but she’s always been pretty weak to be fair).

Few more houses, few more complaints and Jordan was ready to tap out…saviour as I am though turned up at the opportune moment and snagged a wheelchair for her…great, on to finish the houses…only issue, Chris is done, he’s had a titful of Halloween and gone home…new plan…Jordan now promoted to front of group, with the added bonus that I could decide where I pushed her, and thus worked out all the house scares before me and Paige were attacked…Great plan…Jordan was a nervous mess for the last three houses, me and Paige were real actively content 🙂.

Bit more food and a few rides on Men in Black and Gringotts and we were done.

Few more selfies, few more scare zones and back to the boat to go home.

Over 32,000 steps and my feet are buggered ready for another fun filled day tomorrow :)
